While Lord Debling found himself drawn to Penelope Featherington during Bridgerton season three, actor Sam Phillips had his eye on a different Featherington sister.
The Crown alum and Bessie Carter, who plays the older sister of Penelope's older sister Prudence, confirmed their romance during a cozy outing in Sussex, U.K.
The pair stepped out for a morning stroll June 22, during which Bessie planted a few kisses on Sam's shoulder. Unlike their high-society characters on the Netflix show, the couple opted for a casual look for their day out. Bessie, 30, wore a black sweatshirt, gray leggings and sneakers, while her other half donned an orange T-shirt, black sweatpants and sneakers. He topped off the look with a blue baseball cap.
While neither had addressed their relationship in the past, they have previously joined Bessie's parents Imelda Staunton and Jim Carter, on the red carpet. In December, the pair attended The Crown's season six finale celebration—Imelda played Queen Elizabeth II in the show's final two seasons while Sam played an Equerry in seasons three and four—with Jim in London.
That same month, the Harry Potter alum and Downton Abbey star were photographed with their daughter and Sam, 40, at the Wonka World premiere.
But Sam and Bessie aren't the only members of the ton who've found love. Earlier this month, Luke Newton, whose character Colin Bridgerton was at the center of season three's love story, confirmed his romance with dancer Antonia Roumelioti, 23, in London.
The pair arrived at a London hotel together one day before the release of Bridgerton's part two of season three, where Luke, 31, was seen holding Antonia's hand as they waded through a crowd of photographers.
While Luke found love in real life, developing his onscreen romance with costar Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope, was also quite effortless.
"You'd think filming a scene like that with someone who's a friend," Luke told E! News. "who has been your friend for like four years, would be a daunting experience, but actually it was a reassuring one."
"It felt like a real safe space to explore these scenes and find new and interesting ways," he continued. "The show is known for the steamy scenes, so we wanted to really encapsulate the Colin and Pen love story."
Now, keep reading to see more of Bessie and Sam's love story during their day out.
